10 Then he said to them, “Go your way. Eat the fat and drink sweet wine and send portions to anyone who has nothing ready, for this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”
The Holy Bible: English Standard Version. (2001). (Ne 8:10). Wheaton: Standard Bible Society.
Such an important part of life and yet as I peek back ….. in life ….. so little joy can be found.
O how dreadful for those who do not live by this instruction.
As a child I have never really felt a lack of joy. Nor in my teens, nor, as a young adult. Nor as an adult.
It is with this great blessing I have lived my life.
Living in joy is such a vital part of life with the LORD. I simply do not ever remember JESUS or the LORD being unhappy. Only when HE sees us sin. But then if you think about it. Is it not at this time that we too are unhappy for it is leading us away from a HOLY God.
I’ve been reading Scripture and to be specific Acts as we are going through the book of Acts in Global University. I do not recall the apostles every being joyless though persecuted.
Count it joy they said.
Testing of Your Faith
2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, 3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. 4 And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
The Holy Bible: English Standard Version. (2001). (Jas 1:2–4). Wheaton: Standard Bible Society.
Such a vital part of our Christian faith and walk in Christ JESUS.
The Acts of the apostles.
The Gospel for the salvation of all those who believe that JESUS is the Son of the Living God.
For God So Loved the World
16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
