Jeremiah 1:4 (ESV)
The Call of Jeremiah
4 Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
and before you were born I consecrated you;
I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
6 Then I said, “Ah, Lord God! Behold, I do not know how to speak, for I am only a youth.”
Zechariah 12:10 (ESV)
Him Whom They Have Pierced
10 “And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and pleas for mercy, so that, when they look on me, on him whom they have pierced, they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for an only child, and weep bitterly over him, as one weeps over a firstborn.
I’m a seer. I was born a seer. Like in Jerimiah I was chosen. I see Jesus every single day of my life. I see HIM crucified on the cross, the LORD of my salvation. I see Jesus in the throne room in Revelations. My ‘one of a kind’ is so that for this generation the glory of the LORD reaches out to every single nation on this planet. This is God’s vision for me. For HIS glory and HIS only. When I worship in my quiet time with Jesus, I hear HIS voice and I see HIS face. When I worship at the altar in church touch the face of Jesus and I touch HIS glory. Whether it be at Christmas, the little Christ child, at Easter, the broken body of Jesus or every single day, Christ our LORD in HIS full splendour. This is my anointing. It does not change. I’ve been given a holy assignment to touch the face of God. To kiss the lips of Jesus. To dance with Jesus. Yes, it causes a ruckus as it is not what the devil wants. Anyone to worship Jesus and to touch the living God. A holy God. When you are called to this place, your calling is matched to the holy life or you die in this place. You die. Like the ones in the Old Testament. You had better have a good command of Scripture or you will die by being in the wrong place at the wrong time. There is an order and pattern from Scripture that will take you to this place. It takes guts and hard work to study Scripture daily and pray in your quiet place with Jesus. It takes guts to love not only Christ but those around you. And they, also go to this place. Indeed, this holy ground is a holy place and if in fact you do not want to lead others to this place in worship then, the altar is not a place in which you have been called to. The holy presence of the LORD. Do not play with the things that are consecrated and set apart as holy as God is holy and what is not set apart and consecrated is barred from entering holy ground. There is an order in worship. There is an order in heaven. And the twenty-four elders ….. we all know this verse. The question is whether each one of us has the tenacity and the guts to live a holy life. To possess in our hearts, Christ. The passion of Christ who went up to the cross, broke HIS heart so that we can enter into heaven and live for all eternity. Indeed the walk, the sanctification process takes a life time. Some get far. Some do not. The old nature verses the new one. If you talk to a child about the spiritual things of God. If you give a baby a piece of meat, they cannot eat it and it would make them sick. They can only drink milk and digest it. Babies are babies. There is no way around it. They need years to mature so they can eat grounded meat and not a huge piece of steak. The anointing I possess if the passion of the Christ. Christ in me. HIS calling for me is this simple. HE calls me to see the salvation of the LORD for this generation so that they know that HE is God. I am not God. God is God. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. If you can’t hack it or be here, it’s fine. Take your time. But do not stop those who are in this place. It is the devil’s tactics to remove the holy ground from the church. Indeed, if you are not worshiping Jesus in HIS full glory in Revelations in HIS throne room then you have to revamp your relationship with Jesus. Diligently study the word daily for the rest of your life. Have quiet time with Jesus. Live a holy life. In mind and heart. For what comes out of the mouth is from the heart. And what is in your heart is in your mind. For I have the mind of Christ. I have the heart of Christ. I have the heart beat of Christ. And we, have all of these by which we possess the Christ in our hearts. I have come a long long way from my sixteenth year of Day by Day and I Don’t Know How To Love Him. We have come a long long way from that place. All of us. Do not take us back to infancy. We are standing in the full stature of Christ our LORD. Do you not know that right before us is the throne room of Christ Jesus our LORD. Do you not see HIM seating on HIS throne every time at worship. It is the LORD who seats kings and dethrones them for their prideful hearts to when they do not know the order of worship. Zap. You see it in Scripture. The ones left standing are there for a very good reason. Watchmen on the walls. They are seated in heavenly places. Right before the throne of Jesus. Are you jealous? You had better be cos if you are not in this place. Find it. In Christ. Not in man. In all the heavenly places with the LORD of hosts. The LORD of glory is in this place. HE is present at the altar of the LORD. HE is with us and in us. HE is for us and HE is a shield around us and surrounds us and protects us. The anointing does not leave a seer. Seers. Those that see God. We see Jesus. We touch the face of the LORD, Christ our LORD, the way the truth and the life Smile. Indeed, babies will be babies. But babies will grow up. Drink the water of the word and in time as you grow in the faith you will eat the meat of the word and you will be able to stand in a place higher than all your yesterdays. We serve only one God. We do not serve any idols. Anything made of this world. We serve a holy God. Be holy as I AM holy, HE says. And if you have this focus, you will see Jesus and touch HIS face and kiss HIS lips. If of course, you are called to this place. You know, we are. Too bad eh. Share. Sure, this place. Come with us. Come those of you who are heavy laden. The yoke of Christ Jesus our LORD is light. HE is our firm ground. I am blessed as my church grew us into the full stature. To touch the LORD. To feel HIS presence. To be covered by the Lamb of God. The unblemished Lamb of God. The once and for all sacrifice. I have no idea how far anyone can go. Only God knows as God knows the heart of man. The thing is to build the throne of Jesus and invite HIM to sit before us. HE does, every single time we worship. We have the tenacity to do this every time we worship. All of us. And not set up our throne and sit on it. Take the throne in which is in the heavens, and sit on it and say, I will sit on it like in between Genesis 1, verse 1 and and 2 when Lucifer decided to have a rebellion and decided that he wanted to take over the throne of Jesus. The gap between verse 1 and 2 is forever a reminder that he was the most beautiful and wonderful worship leader in the host of heaven but he wanted God’s place. When you study Scripture, you will find out what you can do and what you cannot do. God will take down the ones who think they are god. I smile here as we serve such a holy God that really as long as we all hang in there. Do you posses a sword in the spirit realm? I do. The LORD gave it to me. It was silver in 2005. Now it is gold. My hope and desire to get one in the shade of the Spirit. Do you catch a glimpse of the Spirit? I do. A quick and as a wink, I see Him no more. Don’t be a baby. The seer replies. The glory of the LORD is in this place.
A Riot at Ephesus
21Now after these events Paul resolved in the Spirit to pass through Macedonia and Achaia and go to Jerusalem, saying, “After I have been there, I must also see Rome.” 22And having sent into Macedonia two of his helpers, Timothy and Erastus, he himself stayed in Asia for a while.
23About that time there arose no little disturbance concerning the Way. 24For a man named Demetrius, a silversmith, who made silver shrines of Artemis, brought no little business to the craftsmen. 25These he gathered together, with the workmen in similar trades, and said, “Men, you know that from this business we have our wealth. 26And you see and hear that not only in Ephesus but in almost all of Asia this Paul has persuaded and turned away a great many people, saying that gods made with hands are not gods. 27And there is danger not only that this trade of ours may come into disrepute but also that the temple of the great goddess Artemis may be counted as nothing, and that she may even be deposed from her magnificence, she whom all Asia and the world worship.”
28When they heard this they were enraged and were crying out, “Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!” 29So the city was filled with the confusion, and they rushed together into the theater, dragging with them Gaius and Aristarchus, Macedonians who were Paul’s companions in travel. 30But when Paul wished to go in among the crowd, the disciples would not let him. 31And even some of the Asiarchs, who were friends of his, sent to him and were urging him not to venture into the theater. 32Now some cried out one thing, some another, for the assembly was in confusion, and most of them did not know why they had come together. 33Some of the crowd prompted Alexander, whom the Jews had put forward. And Alexander, motioning with his hand, wanted to make a defense to the crowd. 34But when they recognized that he was a Jew, for about two hours they all cried out with one voice, “Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!”
35And when the town clerk had quieted the crowd, he said, “Men of Ephesus, who is there who does not know that the city of the Ephesians is temple keeper of the great Artemis, and of the sacred stone that fell from the sky?f36Seeing then that these things cannot be denied, you ought to be quiet and do nothing rash. 37For you have brought these men here who are neither sacrilegious nor blasphemers of our goddess. 38If therefore Demetrius and the craftsmen with him have a complaint against anyone, the courts are open, and there are proconsuls. Let them bring charges against one another. 39But if you seek anything further, it shall be settled in the regular assembly. 40For we really are in danger of being charged with rioting today, since there is no cause that we can give to justify this commotion.” 41And when he had said these things, he dismissed the assembly.
The events in Ephesus have always given me great laughter ever since I was on the QE2 and it took me a week to ten days to break down this chapter into it’s original text and enjoy Paul’s story about a time he nearly got killed. The last is the greatest laugh of all. The main topic was idol worship. The goddess Diana. The Ephesians did acts of sexual immorality in front of her. Baal worship. From Sodom to Revelation 19, there is no change in this world. We are in the last week. To know the times and seasons in Scripture. There will always be a battle for the throne of God like in the beginning therefore whenever there is a worship of the King of kings and Lord of lords there will be rebellion and a counterfeit will try to set up his throne. It started all in the beginning. Let us complete this with Revelations 21. What a beautiful sight. Do you see it? I do. Do you see the pillars in our sanctuary? I do. The heavenly hosts. The angels.
The New Heaven and the New Earth
1 Then I saw y a new heaven and a new earth, for z the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. 2 And I saw a the holy city, b new Jerusalem, c coming down out of heaven from God, d prepared e as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, f the dwelling place 1 of God is with man. He will g dwell with them, and they will be his people, 2 and God himself will be with them as their God. 3 4 h He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and i death shall be no more, j neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
5 And k he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I l am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for m these words are trustworthy and true.” 6 And he said to me, n “It is done! o I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. p To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment. 7 q The one who conquers will have this heritage, and r I will be his God and s he will be my son. 8 t But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, u their portion will be in v the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is w the second death.”
9 Then came x one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of y the seven last plagues and spoke to me, saying, “Come, I will show you z the Bride, the wife of the Lamb.” 10 And a he carried me away in the Spirit to b a great, high mountain, and showed me the holy city Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God, 11 c having the glory of God, d its radiance e like a most rare jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal. 12 It had a great, high wall, f with twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and on the gates the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel were inscribed – 13 on the east three gates, on the north three gates, on the south three gates, and on the west three gates. 14 And the wall of the city had twelve g foundations, and h on them were the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
15 And the one who spoke with me i had a measuring rod of gold to measure the city and its gates and walls. 16 The city lies foursquare, its length the same as its width. And he measured the city with his rod, 12,000 stadia. 4 Its length and width and height are equal. 17 He also measured its wall, 144 cubits 5 by j human measurement, which is also k an angel’s measurement. 18 The wall was built of l jasper, while the city was pure gold, l clear as glass. 19 m The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with every kind of jewel. The first was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald, 20 the fifth onyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, the twelfth amethyst. 21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls, each of the gates made of a single pearl, and n the street of the city was pure gold, transparent as glass.
22 And o I saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb. 23 And the city p has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for q the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb. 24 By its light r will the nations walk, and the kings of the earth s will bring their glory into it, 25 and t its gates will never be shut by day – and u there will be no night there. 26 They will bring into it the glory and the honor of the nations. 27 But v nothing unclean will ever enter it, nor anyone who does what is detestable or false, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s w book of life.
