Psalm 46:10 ESV
“Be still, and know that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!”
Deuteronomy 5:6-21English Standard Version (ESV)
6 “‘I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.
7 “‘You shall have no other gods before me.
8 “‘You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 9 You shall not bow down to them or serve them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 10 but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.
11 “‘You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.
12 “‘Observe the Sabbath day, to keep it holy, as the Lord your God commanded you. 13 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 14 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, you or your son or your daughter or your male servant or your female servant, or your ox or your donkey or any of your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates, that your male servant and your female servant may rest as well as you. 15 You shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God brought you out from there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Therefore the Lord your God commanded you to keep the Sabbath day.
16 “‘Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God commanded you, that your days may be long, and that it may go well with you in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.
17 “‘You shall not murder.
18 “‘And you shall not commit adultery.
19 “‘And you shall not steal.
20 “‘And you shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
21 “‘And you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife. And you shall not desire your neighbor’s house, his field, or his male servant, or his female servant, his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor’s.’
Where is your mind, especially your heart in this time of Easter? Well, not just Easter. All the time. With every constant breath that you take in from the LORD and the ones that you release from inside of you. Mine is with the LORD. Jesus Jesus Jesus. And and and ……. been like this all my life. Taught to be like this. Like those before me. What is your heart’s desire? Like for real real real. No joke. Mine is about the things of God. There is no other nor any other than the things of the LORD. When I awake I wonder what is the LORD trying to speak to me about so as I listen attentively, I hear HIS voice as HE speaks. There’s so much junk in this world. So much garbage and filth that if you are not careful will infiltrate your mind and make it down to your heart and desecrate your heart and mind and then your body will suffer the consequences of the garbage. So, don’t store garbage. hahahahahahaha Rather, put on Christ. The word. Let the word infiltrate your mind and your heart and your entire being. What are you looking for? The word and the presence of Jesus of course. What is your mind being filled with? The word and what HE is saying to you of course. What are you looking at? The spirit realm of Jesus in HIS chamber of course. HIS throne. HIS suffering, the joy of your salvation. Working out your salvation with fear and trembling. What are you hearing? So easy right. The word of God. Scripture. What are you touching? Jesus and HIS word of course. HIM and HIM alone. This is the Christ. What are you breathing? The aroma of Christ in HIS word. Smell like roses. Smell like Jesus so those who do not know HIM are abhorred by the smell you have. The aroma of Christ. The closer you are to Jesus the more you will smell like Jesus. The more you smell like Jesus the more those who do not know HIM in this place will be offended by the smell. What do you eat? Even as you eat, does not the LORD provide your every meal you eat even on this earth and are you happy and pleased and thankful for the food HE is giving you daily. Be grateful and thankful and thank HIM constantly as you eat. And so on and so forth. This is easy baby stuff. We are to be doers of the word. Do do do do do. It is exhausting and tiring and it takes a lot of time and effort and if Christ consumes your every single fiber of being, O what a blessing, right. And when you are able to do just these very few things every single moment of the day and night and night and day. Just this little stuff, then, well, you will not be popular. You will not be liked. The evil things will try to get you to part from this blessing of Christ Jesus our LORD. He will use people to get you to think of the garbage of this world rather than the things of God. We surely have the mind of Christ Jesus our LORD. And then, it is just and only the start of everything that you hear and touch and feel in your heart and mind and smell and see and grasp in your mind and think all the time is just only about Christ and the deep things of God and this is just the beginning. The thing is to finish strong. To give it your best. Like a relay team. Like the Masters in a national bowling tournament. Like the Olympics. Focus focus focus. Heaven’s pearly gate …… And this is just a start. Just the beginning. The thing is can you do this all the time. All time. hahahahaha I can. Since I was a baby I have been doing this. It is hard work. You gotta obey the commandments and statutes of the LORD. You need to be prepared when you do fail you will be corrected abruptly and harshly by the body. From all over. This is the love of Christ Jesus our LORD. Grow up my little children and possess the land which the LORD has given us as a possession. Possess the heart and the mind of Christ Jesus our LORD. HE is the way the truth and the life. HE is the vine. Everything comes at a cost. It also comes with the cost of your entire life. All your life. All the areas of your life. Not only the work you do but also everything in your mind and your heart and when you have done this and see Jesus it is just the beginning of all eternity in Christ. For in the end there is only the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Anything other than this is total garbage. And so we live life in the pure bright white light and glory of Christ our LORD. The veil has been torn from the top to the bottom. Pursue Christ with an unrelenting passion that HE has given you to possess all the blessings HE has given to you. Keep your heart clean. Is your heart gentle and tender and the words you speak, speak life. Do you love or is it just some semblance of the love of this world or is it the love of Christ in 1 Corinthians 13, the love chapter. I found this prophetic picture of a very delicate heart. Is your heart hard or delicate and tender like that of Jesus?
Got a little picture of our one and only little grand-daughter this morning when I awoke and she looks like this. This is not her but so cute right. She was looking at us like this with her little tree at the top side of her head and she had just put something into her mouth. She was eating. Her hair is finally long enough. She is our only grand-daughter. All the rest of them seven are boys. She is as sweet as a cream pie. Sweet sweet sweet is she. Gentle as a breeze. She is so cute. We were tickled pink this morning when we got to see her little smiling face. God is good all the time.
